I wasn't criticizing the charts intent or usefulness. Just opining on what I thought might help.
So sorry. |

So they're telling me that this is in fact the pulley known as the speed up pulley used with 149's and 1450's and takes a 3/8" belt. Obviously I am still skeptical since it seems like a pretty wide pulley for a 3/8" belt - but obviously I don't know what I am talking about.
I'd attach photos but I keep getting errors, so here's some textCAD... ...ok, well so much for that. Upper PTO input OD 4.25 x .875" and overall height; lower output OD 4.5" and overall height .75". ________<-- 4.25" -->_______ _ _ _v \ / .875" /_________________________\ _ _ _ ____________|___|___________ _ _ _^_ v \ / .750" /________<-- 4.50" --> _______\ _ _ _ _ _^ |

Well it certainly looks like the one I have here. What size PTO belt are you running with it; 3/8, 1/2..?

CC made a smaller diameter PTO pulley that would fit the 44 deck with the small belt and work with the PTO diameter on a single cylinder Kohler on a wide frame.
I don't remember what exact usage it was for. All I know is, I went to the CC dealer, they told me they had a speed up pulley that was smaller diameter than OEM. They even gave me a part number for the CC belt. I bought one and it worked fine. I still have the deck and the tractor. Just been 200 years since I've used it if anyone needs photos or ?????? |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
