Ya know i was 14 years old before i new damn yankees was 2 words. Had seats all over Cleveland stadium in the 60's. Saw Mantle & Maris hit back to back homeruns a couple times. Mike

Once a year I camp out in Bellevue not far from Norwalk. got friends about the same distance "the other way" from Norwalk...
Anyway as it applies to Cub Cadets last year when I was out there, in our running around for camping supply/ grocery runs, I discovered a yard out there on the south side of town that had a bunch of CC stuff all about the yard got the impression that much of it had not run in a while. Among the stash was a 1X8/1X9, (my favorite Cubs by design/appearance) and a cab maybe 2, that makes me want to beat on the door and ask what it would take to bring those back to Illinois with me.... but then I'd have to take both my trucks so I could bring my flatbed trailer and the popup besides.... and give the wife a crash course in towing.....

I'll have to check with a couple of guys and see where this is. I know the IH dealer where I get some of my parts in Bellevue pretty well...may need to ask next time I'm in. I'll let you know what I find out.

Still haven't found time to get the tractor going...gas smells like paint stripper but the cut off for the tank was shut and the carb bowl was dry. shouldn't take long...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
