I agree with Jay. But for those that ain't sticken around, the TS worked just fine.
Come on Tim, for crumps sake, Wally world get's $15?? for 5 quarts of motor oil. Two oil changes will cost you $30 and change, how often you "need" to change your Hytran?

Think I paid almost $80 for 5 gallons back late last fall from CAse IH. Deere was about the same for HyGard. As many Cadets as you have, it's not gonna waste.

John I almost bought a 5 gal pail last time but the 2.5 gal jug is easier to handle.. I probably should get a pump for a 5 gal pail and do it that way!

Definitely the more you buy the cheaper it is per gallon.. The only one I change very often is the 1782.. it sees the most hours.. I do it every other year.. most of the others see oil changes about every 5 years

Yeah... We buy hytran by the 5 gals, usually have 3 to 4 buckets of hytran at any given moment. 20 bucks a gallon. Same as a 100 Dollar Bill for a bucket. Have a leak on the combine that's cost us 60.00 a day to run the last two days.

I don't use cheap generic crap oil, always figured the parts it lubes cost way more than the money I'll save not buying the right oil

I checked online today, the price was $85 for 5 gallons.

Your combine leak reminds me of a tractor leak we once had, input shaft seal went out, dropped 2-3 gallons a day for the last 3-4 days we HAD to have that machine. Lets just say it got a clutch too. I drove it to the dealer over an hour away (by tractor). I could start out in 8th gear(it only had 8) It was an adventure for a 15 year old kid making that non-escorted drive in rush hour traffic.

Dang you have some nice collectables. Are you getting "modern" and collecting the plastic 5qt goose-necked jugs from the 80's?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
