Good tip Matt! Do they use a seal of any kind or just o-rings? I've got to rebuild my control valve it's starting to drip any tips?

Thanks!

The cylinders on my loader (Kwik-Way) had a mix of crude lip seals and O-rings, and the rebuild kits I got were missing parts and had the wrong size O-rings for a few of them, so I wound up re-using the lip seals and replacing just the O-rings. It didn't completely eliminate the leaks on mine, as the rods are kind of screwed up on several of my cylinders, but now it's an occasional drip instead of a squirt every time the cylinder is actuated. Every valve I have disassembled has contained only O-rings. As for tips, clean the outside before disassembly, and clean and re-lube all of the internals before reassembly. The O-rings get pretty bad in the control valves. I have never taken one apart that didn't need all of the O-rings replaced.

Sorry guys, I haven't been around the Cub forums much since about January of this year.

I got my Danco decals from Scott Urschel. The only way I know to contact him is by email: cubconnection@aol.com I believe is the address.

Good luck, I'm always looking forward to seeing rebuilt Danco loaders.

Keith

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
