Congratulations on your 1200 with rear pto.

The rear pto shift lever will be just on the right side of the tunnel cover near the rear fender pan.

There are pictures of it in your operator's manual.

Thanks guys. Sam, I looked in my manual and saw the little lever. I think somewhere along the way this one was cobbled, because all thats there is a metal rod pinched between the rear pan and the tunnel. I would love to post pics but I still get a generic error.

Try cropping the picture a bit, for some reason when I get a generic error all I have to do is crop the pic a little bit and it will post just fine.

I was a little skeptical if he really had a 1200 with a rear pto. We know for sure now that he at least has a picture of one...

Thanks for posting pics! That is really cool. I think the rear pto looks better on the WF than the NF. Maybe it is just because of the fenders, but looks great. Nice find and good buy.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
