Thanks Guys. I think I showed the Original I said I wanted to duplicate. Just because I thought it looked awesome.
Mr. Todd, of course I was in a hurry and measured from the wrong side. I have the switch in the right place now and will just put a plug there and weld it. I have one more thing to do, install the creeper and she will be finished. Here again is the one I liked so much. I will get close but have to put my sig. to it?

Okay, slow down next time. Measure, then re measure, and for s&*^s and grins measure again.
Lights don't look right, it's kinda like having your ears down by your shoulders... Not hackin on it, just saying what I think is all. I always say what I think, good bad or different, just how it is. If your happy, then it's all good.

I know how you are Mr. Zippy. No problems here. You are a purist, and I like things a little different. I like the low profile. When their mounted up high, they look like a Praying Mantis to me. lol. I am different I guess, don't go by the book. I was one of the guys in High School who put side pipes on my Z-28. They didn't belong there, but they sure did look good.

Agree 100% Todd! But the low lights make that "O" look more friendly, I got the same look after sitting few minutes in a bathtub with lady's!

You did a great job Ambrola! It's clean like a plate just getting out of a dishwasher!

You are 100% correct Lew. I will never use this Original, maybe mow the front yard once in awhile. It's kinda like a old car, I just want all the options and put my own style into it. From the beginning, I said I was gonna copy the one pictured, but add a little something different. Now the 4 digit, I will leave completely original. Haven't dug into that one yet. I found a new tool I didn't know existed, a step drill bit? They are wonderful. Buy 2 or 3 sizes, and you can drill any hole you want in steel. But, you have to make sure you measure and measure again. That's for Zippy before he jumps me. I will post 1 more picture when it's completed. Here's the last hole to cut. Lower left hand picture. If I mess this one up, it want be so easy to fix!

One of these? They are handy to have around the shop.
It's all good Ronnie. I wouldn't consider myself a purest per say, that's why it was called a "face lift" and not a restoration. Even at that the correct police had to come in and threaten me with fines and jail time...
That's what makes this "hobby" what it is, each person puts their own spin on their tractors. BUT if it's going to be a "restoration" it best be as it rolled off the assemble floor, or in some cases better... Or the cops will be cruising around your neighborhood.
At least your going to use yours, my "poor" tractor sits dry in the house.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
