Guess that makes sense, never thought it would be aluminum.

I have a dial caliper, only thing I really have to measure the hole

That will work well. Take your time and see what size the hole is. Then we can pick a thread size to retap it.

Measure with the tips just in a little bit and then farther in. That will let you know if the hole is tapered ( from being a NPT pipe size )

.650 is what it is at the bottom, middle and top of the pan hole.

that pan should have a straight thread and the plug will have a lip on it with a rubber seal.
