Didn't mean to make you feel sorry in any way. Just that we here as a group learn from each other's mistakes, and there are some of those in that thread also, just trying to pass on some of the goods, to avoid the bads.
I learned some things along the way from others build threads, and that's why we do them. To share our "wealth of knowledge".

Thanks Gentelmen. For about an hour and half i read Todds thread. And boy o boy! Mine will not be as good as his! You did an amazing job, Todd
I have 1 question. How to remove the coupler arm that connects to the clutch shaft. Is that just a pin you knock out? cannot get it to budge. Just like a lot of things on this tractor.
I want to thank you both for taking your time for me.
have a good day,
Noah

Okay, here's a link to the parts. Tell us exactly what you are referring to by number please. And report back.

Yeah, the roll pin in the first picture can/will come out.
Sure, the spiral pins will/can come out in the second picture, but why would you want them out?
No, there should not be that much play in the collar and bushing, looks to have been wearing on the collar... Looks rather dry also. Did this clutch work when you got the tractor, or haven't you tried it?
There are some parts of the assembly that are no longer available, and you would have to have them built. Jeff in pa builds parts for these tractors.

I sourced the Timkin bearing and thrust washers plus the bushing from my local bearing supplier. The hole for the brake rod in the second pic tends to get wallered out. I took mine out but remembered the order. As Todd said though it's not necessary unless the pedal is sticking and not moving freely.

The clutch worked before. One day my father was driving it. Funny, because he thought it was a piece of junk. Next day, Got on it, started it [ He forgot to put it in neutral when he shut it off] Cranked the engine and BOOM it took off. would not stop. Hit my brothers JD 110 grille and put a dent in it. Cub was not hurt though. got it in neutral and tried backing the thing but the clutch plates were stuck. Got them unstuck and backed out of my shop. And it would not stop.
Figured by then it was time to take her apart and make it nice again. Watched a couple videos and took the clutch apart and cleaned all the parts and let them dry. Thats why the look dry, Todd. So i may need a new collar and bushing?
Do springs usually need replacing on these clutches? Mine looks fine.
Just wondering

Thanks for your time, guys
Noah

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
