All of my 2 stroke stuff is Stihl. Last saw I bought they offered to double the warranty if you bought some "Stihl oil" so far no problems. I have one saw that dates back to 1980.

I also use Stihl 2 stroke oil on all of my Stihls, too! The biggest key is to not keep this oil/gas mix too long as the fuel tends to break down the oil........so they say.

Last year I forgot to drain my brush cutter/ weed whacker, it started on the 2nd pull and I ran that tank dry with no issues. I only use no ethanol gas in it so maybe that helps.

Husqvarna jumped on the "buy our $28/gallon pre-mixed fuel and double your warranty" bandwagon too. Funny thing is, Echo just gives you 5 years warranty without having to purchase any oil or special fuel

I got a stash of Husqvarna oil and a gallon can already mixed so I'm thinking of just using that. Wonder if that voids your warranty

I use the synthetic Husky oil in the silver bottle and never have a problem and I have Husky chainsaws and a echo trimmer. I friend of mine at church gave me a Sthil edger that had not been started in 3-4 years. Put a new cord in it and cranked it a few times and it fired right up. He used Sthil oil, Most all your modern oil today is good stuff.

Honestly, I'd have to look. I get it at my local "Do it best" hardware store.

You can carbon a motor up pretty bad that is designed for say, 32:1 by running 50:1 ration in it. Seen it.

I would agree if it was the other way around.

Running an engine designed for 50:1 at 32:1 could carbon it up or foul the plug.

Yes. My bad, I listed them backwards. You understand what I'm saying though.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
