I have a 1211, basically a 1282. Does a great job mowing, has a 38" deck hydro lift and set up for a 3pt( po kept the arms) has a k301 donor engine. The mag12 was blown when I got it. I use it to push snow in the winter and love it!

Lew it had a Mag 12 in it until I dropped a 16HP Vanguard in it along with the steering components from a 1440.

Lew

Plate was from a 1440 along with the drive shaft and the complete pump and trans. I guess when it was all said and done it was a 1440 with a 16HP engine with 82 series sheet metal. Cool thing is it's all bolt in. Hat's off to the guys that designed these things and made them so interchangeable.

If it has the deep sump it won't work. Stick a set of the JeffinPA solid mounts in it and be done with it

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
