Look on Craig's list for the following 2160, 2165, 2185, LT2180 they all make great organ donors. Probably a couple others also. 16HP Vanguard or 18HP Kohler CH.

Good call.

I couldn't find the hole, but I olny took the passenger side heat shield off. I see what looks like a small crack but can't be sure.

Really frustrating because I just spent a bunch of money and time tuning it up. Guess it was more than her old heart could handle!
Is 1811 a big upgrade?
Any opinions on new cub zero turns?

Cub ZTR...prolly not any good unless you wanna drop $8k+ on one and then I would prolly go with a Kubota or Exmark. If the box store sells it, it is garbage!

I would just find a good motor and drop in it. The 1811 is the same tractor you have with a hydro lift and nothing else. The Mags were awesome motors in their day but looks like it's time to look for a Kohler Command of a Briggs Vanguard.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
