Ha ha, you guys are kind for not saying "hey dummy, the diagram you posted as the measurements right on it ".
Hey Dummy the measurements are right thair, kaint yall see um?
Ha,LOL!
Anyway, would it be simpler to just find a used one?
Might make life easier

Don't feel bad cc182222, I missed it too! Furthermore, my measurements were off by 1/16", so it shows you what I know.

Yeah 123! I was going to mention that!
And a used one would certainly work, but then what would I do with my welder?

Anyway, got started today despite my checkmark and here's the beginning. I'll still have to fabricate the lift rod and get her painted up.

Decided to use a piece of 1 inch heavy wall square stock for the lift arm and two pieces of 1 1/2 inch heavy angle for the lift arm attachment points (both decisions were made because.....well, that's what I had). Half inch pins join the two.

Now to get it painted up, mounted and start to work on the arm that attaches to the cylinder.

Make sure that the angle of the top lift pin doesn't interfere with the fender. I had to cut mine off a reposition it a couple times before I got it right. Looking good so far!

Hmmmmm.

Well, the fender pan is off right now. Thanks for the heads up! I'll put the fenders on and check it out.

OK, finally got back at it and finished it up. As warned I had to make a few adjustments to clear the fender, but I didn't have to cut off and re-weld anything.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
