I had this issue some time back on another piece of equipment and I soaked it good with PB and then used a broken pipe extractor! Worked rather well.

Took this apart today, and not much sticking out to work with.

Decided to try the chisel method.

Worked pretty good

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
