This cub would be nice to see with a mirror underneath it at shows to show your fine detailing! That and a tricked out set of LED's running sequentially. Keep up the top notch work.

I recon I will need to get some new rubber on order (well, at least clean up the wheels but if they come apart they are going back together with new tires). But plenty of time before its ready to fire off. I figure Sam will have done about... 12 more tractors by the time I get this one done.

Oh, and dug out some pictures of what it started as. Its a combination of a beat to nothing 782 I gave $40 for, and a yellow 782 that had seen some pretty good snow plow duty and was tired.

BTW, the previous owner had painted over the serial plate. I took it off when I sandblasted, but not sure how to get the paint off it without removing the original paint underneath (I am thinking ... not possible), but maybe some of you know a trick?

yeeter:

Even with "Dad" duty, you are moving right along and it's looking nice! Can't wait for you to work your magic on the engine! Will the 782 be replacing the 1811 for yard chores?

I should send one over to you, you are almost done with yours and will be bored soon....

Initially, I am going to keep one with the plow on it and one with the blower. Any more Winters like the last one and we need all the snow weapons we can put together.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
