Me too, another great design. Someone else has one on here as well that's a cool set up, I think it was a two piece deal that uses the top v reg bracket mount bolt?

Yes Alvy, I saw that design here also but we decided to go another route. One of the guys helping me is great with thinking out of the box. The joke around the shop is if it moves he wants to put a cement mixer on. Just our way of saying he wants to reinvent the wheel in a different way. This time I think he hit a home run. I bet the original IH engineers would have incorporated something like this if they had thought of it. After all the work we put into this 105, it just didn't seem right for the hood to hit metal on metal. Thanks for all the great comments! I'll be off line until Monday but keep the comments coming. What do you think about dipping in the black plasti dip for a thicker coat and no matching creme paint? I was worried the purist in the forum might not like that.

I think the correct police will bow out on this one since it's such a great design. If you do your homework on the models and hood similarities you might be surprised how many of us would want some. Great work!

I hope your next project is a wide frame or a Quietline. Those type of hood retainers would work equally as well for that series.
