A 1450 was my first Cub Cadet and I love it. Plenty of power for the 50" deck and good handling all around tractor. Some elbow grease and a few dollars and you'll have a good machine.

im in the milford, novi area.

as for selling it, thats the overall plan as of now. i want to give it a chance to live again before i cut it apart though. as for pricing i havent a clue what they are worth, im a gravely guy, i know gravely prices. i might get it running and use it as a tractor show runner being a quiet line it may be quieter than a gravely and not disturb as many kids

can these be used as ISO mounts? they are the same as the MOOG ones ive seen being used in place of the factory. and they are quite a bit cheaper than factory too. i dont want to put a lot of money into it until i know it runs, and i dont want to destroy anything because the engines loose.

I second what Sam said. I had a 1250 earlier this year and decided to give the cheaper mounts a try. I, personally, did not like them. If I ever get a Quietline again, I am for sure going with Jeff's solid mounts linked above. Quality stuff from a good guy

im going to see if this tractor will start here soon. i want to know if it will run before i put too much into it. now, some if not all of the engine mount bolts are gone, you can slide the engine around with no effort. is there a grounding cable for the engine, or does it use these bolts as an engine ground? i had an old rubber mounted honda that had a grounding cable that rusted off and it grounded through the throttle cable and welded it together on the next hit of the key. i dont want that issue. the oil is clean and full. ive got to see if its got compression. looking in the spark plug hole i know the valves move. it was dark in there so i didnt see the piston, but i got my trusty flashlight some new batteries. ill run it with some carb/choke cleaner so i dont have to pull the carb and clean it to run. ill do that when i know it runs. if i get it running i may decide to keep it, see if it fights with my gravelys. so far it has one flat tire, the gravely might cause more with some yellow moving in...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
