We're probably too hilly for that unless I keep the tank half full. Engine might blow next time I use it but right now its well worth buying a pump for. The carb needs to be pulled off for a good soaking, it has a bit of a surge sometimes. A new set of points and condenser should be in order as well. I'm dragging my feet on this for a couple reasons; got other grass whacking machines and also I don't want this thing back in the shop tore down while I've got farm work yet to do.

Regarding Ethanol fuel, I'm pretty certain what I'm running is ethanol free, we buy it in bulk for the farm. And I'm certainly on the bandwagon that there seem to be a lot more fuel related repairs in the past few years based on what I've seen brought to my dad to work on. Used to the only fuel repairs were from worn out carbs, dirty fuel, or fuel that was left in an idle machine for a couple years. To paraphrase Forrest Gump, that's about all I have to say about that.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
