Thanks everyone for your kind words. A level clean deck with sharp blades works great IMO. I love using the 48"ers; they are my favorite. My neighbor told me last summer "nice lawn" and I told him all I do is mow it and occasionally re seed bare spots (fast forward to all the blade/tire chain damage from moving snow during the winter of '13/14).
As far as POTW; I have already had POTW at least twice this year that I can remember, I think, and I like to leave it open for others to submit. I appreciate that you think it is good enough to be a POTW candidate. ![]()

I had a reason not to post a picture. My grass was high and I mowed too fast with my 125 with a 42" cast iron deck.
If I take my time, it looks great. This time I didn't ![]() |

Nice pic drglinski. One of the things that I like best about other folks pictures, is the terrain. I love seeing the pictures with hills in the background, mountains even better! Around here on the gulf coast, it is flat as a pancake, so seeing pictures like that is sort of a mini vacation. It's a fine looking machine drglinksi, nice yard too! Thanks, TB

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
