The 1861 and 1862 were built in the same time frame as the first year 1782's, 1882's, and 2082's. CC must have figured the mesh cooled better/looked better? So as the cyclops production moved on, they made the change. Really wished they would have left stuff metal.

I think, and I have no real proof for it, they moved to the mesh screen because it filtered grass and debris better than the slots. I know when I'm done mowing after hours of grass, the screens have a collection of junk on them

Ryan when I am mowing the tall grass in the Xmas trees, I reach down and wipe the crap off the left screen of the 1864 every 15 minutes or so.

Well 2 of the rear end bolts were just a touch backed out. Maybe 1/16" So I tightened them back up. Adjusted the deck so it was actually level. Checked the oil, and then mowed my yard. WOW is all I have to say. I can't wait till I have more room to play with this thing. This thing makes mowing, dare I say, fun. It is SO smooth. The hydro is so smooth. I mean, I can't talk this thing up enough. Here's a couple pics.
