NOPE....


Jumper Wire from the Battery + terminal to the Solenoid "S" terminal. Does the solenoid energize..???

It could be, but that's usually only on relay's. If it is marked with an "I", then no that is for Ignition. It's a terminal that was used to keep power going to the ignition circuit during cranking.

I think he mis typed the I. If it's a four post then the coil of the solenoid is grounded out through that fourth post instead of grounding through the case of it like a 3 post. The 4th post needs to have a wire from it to the case or ground. You have 2 small posts and 2 large posts correct? A 4 post will never work unless the additional ground wire is ran from the extra post on the coil to ground.

There are two types of four post solenoids. One style the forth is a ground, the other style it is an ignition terminal. It is unlikely if it is marked "I" that it is a ground. "I" is for ignition. I'm quite sure on this. As a matter of fact, I installed one today. The "I" terminal did not need to be grounded.

This could be all cleared up if we have some pictures.

What we do know, the solenoid is NOT OEM.

I have a camera, but have not fiqured out how to post pictures. True it is not OEM.
