The 10 thru 16 horsepower motors take the same cam. The 18 horse power cam is different from the 10 thru 16 horse power motors. 18 horse power has the same lift..more duration.

The 26 carb may be too small for a 14 horsepower block. All my 14 horse power motors had a 30 carb on them.

MERK
I did not realize that about the cams. Do you know of any good aftermarket ones ? I am not looking for a high rpm racer, just some more low end torque. I see the 18 hp cams are pretty exspencive.

Give these Gents a call:
http://www.lakotaracing.com/Cams2007.htm
They can recomend a cam for what you want to do.
My Son build a K321 base on this write up:

The motor build up is at the bottom of the page-Killer Kohler Part 1 and 2.
Mr. Kirk has a nice cam set up that may go in my 100.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
