It was in St. Paris, Ohio! I don't live in the state, but I sure like many of those large houses in that area.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes on my ankle. It hurts bad today and is goose-egged real nice on the outside. I have an air cast to put on when the swelling goes down some, then I'll look like 1/2 robot and 1/2 human. I'm not for sure if I like those mag rims. They do make it look like a fast ride, red56turbo. I thought they looked hideous, too, Jonathan, but a guy told me when he came over to look at the cub at the filling station on my way home, he said look at them for a while and they will grow on you--well, he thought they looked neat. So, I decided to leave them on for a while and see what I thought about them. Picked my load up for about 5 franks and I figured the 3 point, weights, and brinly were hitting close to that. I was surprised to hear that the engine was rebuilt with only 6 hours on it=BONUS!!

Again, thanks for all of your kind compliments and well wishes. Doc says I'm laid up for about 4 days.

Sorry to hear about the ankle but congrats on the great deal on the Cub. Please loose the Autozone hubcaps though. Those belong on a yuppie's Craftsman.

As far as your ankle, once the initial soreness and swelling has died down, check into some water therapy and LIGHT revolutions on a stationary bike. The fastest I've ever healed up from an ankle injury was by easing back onto my bike after a few days. The pedaling motion does wonders.

Good luck with it.

I have been "ankle lucky", so I can not say I know what you are feeling, but, hope you recover soon!!

Nice bling on the rims, and a nice clean 1000 at that.
Time to fill that hole in the yard so it does not hurt your ankle again.

Great score on the 1000, and times a million about ditching the hubcaps. Stinks about your ankle but the big question is, did you have to use an alias when you went?

I used the stationary bike years ago when a lady drove over my leg and crushed up my right tibia while drinking her coffee. It worked wonders for me to regain my range of motion when doctors didn't know if I would walk right again. After a year and a half of self therapy and determination, I walk again. Now this setback and I have two people waiting for me to get cubs ready for them to sell. Oh, I did slim down while riding and really improved my endurance!

Thank you! I had the foresight to take the pictures right before the accident. I didn't get a picture of the big stack of manuals, brochures, etc. and the extra parts that I also received. Perhaps more in the future when I am on my feet.

I wore my sunglasses in the ER room. I have several addresses and several names, but I was in too much pain and couldn't stop giggling (strange, but whenever I am in a lot of pain I giggle uncontrollably), to remember which name I gave. I do remember that I gave them your address, so let me know when you get my ER bill!

Here's to great friends and good health...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
