Welcome to OCC. These guys are the best!
Was searching for mule drive information too. Found your thread. Looks like a good tiller you have.
I am building up a mule drive for the new #2 tiller I bought a week or so ago. I plan to mount it on a 127.
I had a old mule drive from a Cub. I did get the billet pulleys for it. Took a couple years searching around (I wasn't in a big hurry).
I may start a thread on it.
I thought I read somewhere that the spring tension-er is replaced with another threaded belt tightener? Also the clutch can be the weak link if it is not it good shape?
Good luck with your tiller. Have you tried it yet?
Regards,
Chris

sugarmaker I'm glad my thread has helped you. I have only tilled my grandfathers garden(had to pay for my machine work he did for me for the mule drive) but everything seems to be holding up so far. the pulleys Jeff in PA recommend from Napa auto seem to be built decently. Here's some pics.
My grandfather machined me a second belt tensioner it saved me 60$ from cub parts.

Very beefy looking Cub with the tiller attached. I would like to have a tractor set up for just the tiller, maybe someday. Since I have a few tractors around here. I have been too busy to get the pictures loaded. I will try to do that this week.
I have to get the lift pin for the top sleeve hitch or call my local machine shop to have one made.
That garden looks very nice the Cub and tiller combo did a nice job! Nice job building the other tension-er too! He does nice work!
Regard,
Chris

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
