$60.00 is not bad. Seems like I pay close to $80.00 for mine.

That looks nice, being red and all. What a lucky find this time of the year!! It will be real nice for you. I used a Mr. Clean magic eraser to clean mine thoroughly and then used some Armor All automotive vinyl cleaner/protector that helped to make it much more pliable. Nice deal!!

That was sort of my plan, good cleaning and then some armor all. I may use the heat gun to warm the material up, prior to applying armor all? Just a thought. I am a little concerned about the snaps that attach the vinyl to the cab and each other. Some of them are pretty rusty. None are missing, or broken and I'd like to keep it that way.

The Original Cab Company (in Indiana) made only red and white ones, but they were soft cabs with fiberglass tops. IH ones are more challenging to find in my area.

I wear the one-piece Walls "Blizzard-Proof" overalls, and an LL Bean Mad Bomber hat, along with the super heavy winter motorcycle gloves.

Don't have a thrower for my Cub Cadet, use a 9-HP craftsman walk-behind thrower. Sis-in-law gave me an aftermarket snow shield for it a couple of winters back. Helps A LOT.

A tip-o-the-hat on that IH windbreaker find. Nothing quite like a sudden gust of wind to give you a snow shower....kinda wrecks the fun of Cub Cadet seat time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
