I don't think Lew's much behind the curve on the snowthrower. I just put mine on the 149 last week for the first time. But it's all rain down here.

That's a great outfit,...a narrow frame IH Cub Cadet 123 with QA36 thrower ! I have the Brinly spring assist on the 71, with the lift rod in the low hole of the lift bracket, and what a improvement over not having anything! Don't get much blade height from the ground, but I don't need that.

Darn good set up Lew!

I was wondering why you didn't go with the 782?..... but I see you answered that.
Can't believe you waited till now for a blower. I don't like piles of snow.
Why the 123? Don't have one with hydraulic lift somewhere?
I made my GF help this last time with snow removal...... she doesn't "nag" about it now. She says, "It's cold out and this sucks!" Reality is the ultimate tool!

we really haven't had a lot of snow up here till the last two storms came,now I needed the thrower to clean up the foot we got yesterday and there is more on the way.
At least the spring assist is on the 123,plus I know it will start,drive,and the pto was rebuilt.The 125 was too hard to move out so the 123 was chosen.Just put in a battery and gas and started right up.
