I have a question for all of you people who have manged to put a stack a quiet/line. My 1250 is my main workhorse and after I got it the muffler broke and is really loud. I went out and bought a stack and a rain cap from Fleet Farm so now I can't back out from it and just buy a Q/L muffler. I've seen one were they cut a hole in the hood and I don't really want to do that(even though its a beat up old tractor). I don't have a side-panel for the left side so I don't have to worry about that. My question is, could someone tell me and/or show me pictures on how I could go about doing this? I think it would look tougher with a stack on too.

Just get you some black pipe with the right elbows route it out to the side and up. Dont forget to make a brace as well.

A 1" close nipple and a 45* ell or a street elbow should get you at right angle to the frame. All depends on how far ahead you want to be before coming out. then it's just a matter of another short nipple, a 90* ell and a short pipe your stack will slide on to is all. No biggie really.

Yep real easy to do like I said make a brace up to support the weight I've seen quite a few break right out of the block

Here is my 1200 with 6 or 8 inch nipple and a can muffler. No side pannels either.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
