Nice save from the scrap yard! Can't see something like that being tossed for .08-.10 cents a pound. Cleaned up, the 102 would look great! Again, nice save!

IMG_20140209_153122_531.jpg Well I bought that 1966 102 from Mike and here it is. First picture below is before new paint. Runs like a new one and seems like one heck of a nice tractor. The original engine at some point had been swapped for a 12 hp. The starting issues were dirty connections on the solenoid, and the clutch safety switch and a poor ground connection. After getting it started it spit and sputtered and back fired out the carb and wouldn't idle. The points were fouled and the timing was way off. After all the adjustments were done and a good carb cleaning the engine starts right up and runs like a top. The clutch looks to be almost new and the transmission and brakes work fine. I give it a good cleaning and removed most of the old paint and gave it a new paint job. I'm sure glad Mike saved this from being scrapped. I've had my I open for a nice complete 102 for some time. (because) When I was growing up the neighbor girl mowed her parents yard with a 102. So I had to find one because that neighbor girl has been my wife for almost 40 years.
