CBH - It's a home made plow set up. 20 some years ago, when I first got the Cub, I was given a 42" plow off of an "orange" tractor. I designed this set up to work off of the hydraulics. I works very well. At the time, I didn't think to see if there was correct plow mount made for Cubs. I've learned a lot since then. But I do enjoy designing and making things from scratch.

Default hitch

The last delivery arrived yesterday. I got my hitch assembly. It's missing the rod that the lift lever mounts with. I would assume I can use any rod of the right diameter? All I need now is a plow. :biggrin2.gif:

Mak - Regarding the tires, my main thing was for the looks. But it steers easier since they're narrower. Also, the ribs will help steering in muddy or snowy conditions because of the ribs digging in instead of those fat smooth tires skating on top. If you go up a couple of posts, click on the pic for a close up view of the plow set up.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
