You could always leave your name and number with him and a set amount as a standing offer for it. If he thinks about it long enough and no one else shows interest, then he might give you a call. If he doesn't, then you've only lost about 3 minutes of your life that you'll never get back.
I bought another Cub Cadet 123 this past summer with a smooth running engine, loaded tires (and all 4 new tires), factory lights and switch, 3 point hitch, 42" snow/dirt blade, tire chains, original grote tail light, and spring assist for $200. I believe his price is too high, but he has a right to ask whatever he wants. LOL....Lots Of Luck! Cub Cadet 123

What was his price last summer?
If it is the same and the ad is the same................ He only has it listed for sale if he gets what he wants. i.e. he don't need to sell it. His ad says to me: grumpy old guy with a wife who is telling him to sell it. |

Since it's not running, definitely come down on the price. Most. I have paid for a non-runner is 250.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
