Good deal with the chisel. I'll have to file that one away in the memory bank. Now that I think about it...my screws are phillips head not flat? Hmm...

That's the most complete rebuild kit I've ever seen! Didn't know you could still find the coils.

Might have to order one of these...

Yeah I'm really liking the idea of using the chisel in the impact, maybe make it a little shorter. Lew that impact looks old school buddy? Is it electric or air? And yeah that seems to be a good kit I will let everyone know how it works and quality. My field coil is roached just like the one pictured, I'm thinking a mis adjusted or defective regulator causes this to let the majic smoke out of the field coil. Thoughts?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
