I will be doing some engine rearranging/swapping between the 127 I have that runs and a 126 that I have not yet had time to evaluate yet.

I will pull this windowed one and do a quick tear down before the power washing it got just before I picked it up does further damage inside.

I'm loving his motivation on how far he traveled one way. I will be bummed if its south of my neck of the woods but I doubt it. Options are killer, well worth the $ and effort. Can I ask where you got it from mr. bond? My guess is either north or west of p cola?

It had been listed on CL for two weeks or so with a phone number and "taking bids" in the description.
Being it was 375 miles away, I did not bother to call. After 2 weeks he updated the ad with some more pictures. I then saw things I wanted to put on my unrestored, ugly but operational 127. So I then called and asked him what amount he was hoping for that would make him happy.
He said $200 and I said sold, and I sent him a $50 deposit via paypal.
I tried to get him to strap it to a pallet and drop it off at a Fastenal store about 8 miles from his house but he would not.
So I spent all day on the road to go get it home.
The reason for the $200 price is due to the new window in the engine block in behind the starter-generator.
In case you ever wanted to know.....yes a 127 with 42" deck installed will fit into a first generation Tahoe!. But you have to remove the steering wheel.

I'm in disbelief....how did you get it to fit? Where did the wife sit (on the roof?)? How would you explain that to an officer if you were pulled over---"I saw him stranded along the road Occifer,.....uh Officer...". I just don't believe it.......but I'm glad that you got it with great options!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
