Nice looking machine and tiller! Is it a #2 or #1? Either way, it's missing the belt guard. not a huge deal however.

Great question on the tiller. To be honest, I'm not sure. I did give it a quick try when I fist got it, but wanted to get all of the fluids changed before any real work.

I've been looking at all of the sponsors and I'm wondering if anyone offers a carburetor tuneup service. I'm fairly confidant in doing most repairs given some form of instruction, but those dang carbs always seem to give me trouble!

Congrats on the 149. The best of the IH Cubs, if you ask me.

Don't be afraid of the carb on these. Buy the kit, clean it out and put it back together with the new parts. Tuning is no big deal. The manual describes exactly how to set it. Download the manuals for the tractor and implements from this site for help.

Left the tractors back east when we moved to Nevada. One went to South Jersey, the other to Long Island.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
