FWIW,
I set my ps pump above the crossmember. I made a "C" bracket and bolted it to the bottom of the pump and bolted the bottom of fabbed bracket to the top of the cross member. I used column/pump from a 318 Deere. seems like the "C" bracket was less than 3" high. |

The new bracket you have is for a super and mounts to the side of the frame you need a bracket from a 1864that goes to the crossmember.I used one for a pattern and had to make one longer to drop my column from a super. The bracket I used mounts to the side of the frame

I wouldn't waste my time or money putting power steering on a cub, I put a set of Firestone tri ribs on my 1211 and I can steer it with my pinky finger. I also had deestone tri ribs on my 122 and it steered just as easy.

![]() I do have them (Firestone tri ribs) on the 1650, and it steers so much easier than any other front tires. BUT after using the 1872 with power steering, there is a big difference for us less "big muscular kinda guys"... ![]() ![]()

The bracket assembly that I made up works fine. My first design was close (needed to grind a bit to make room). The new bracket assembly has the modes for clearance. So this will let anyone to put power steering on any tractor that used the same mount as standard steering. (crossmember)
Power steering on a mounted snowblower is night and day and think about a loader tractor. Even cutting grass. ![]() From 129 to 782 plus can have power steering with a hydro setup.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
