I got a belt ordered for it yesterday, I'm always in awe of the lack of stuff the local cub dealer carries and the fact that the auto parts stores don't even seem to carry anything small enough in a narrower belt.

my local cub place are anything but service oriented, so if its a cub specific part it's gonna be ordered from them as they don't even try and so I order it online from various places. My neighbor had a saw serviced and it come back from them and it was as dirty as it was dropped off to them, and was still having the same problem it went with. My opinion at least blow out the shavings/dirt to make it look like you took it apart to look it over

As far as belts my local car parts places has all kinds of stuff available. They even had a couple start/gen belts in stock.

Actually I am...

I don't believe I'm going to do a thing to it outside of use it... It's been a regularly used tractor since day 1. I've actually mowed with it a few times in the past up at my wife's grandfather's. As far as cosmetics I do need to find a few headlight bezel, the original is bent pretty good and at some point he had clipped the wires for the headlights.

I'll put it this way. My local cub dealer didn't even know IH owned CC until I proved it to him on the computer.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
