Great deal! That thing even has a good seat...

You probably better go back and tell him that if he doesn't give you the grill and springs you will feel like you got ripped off.

Well took the carb apart to clean and rebuild. It was clogged wth gunk! No fuel getting threw the carb at all. Does anybody know where i can buy carb cleaner in like a big gallon jug? Id like to soak it for a couple days. Right now im spraying it wth a can of carb cleaner and using a brush to scrub. Also and one know what tool to use to get the small jet bolt like fitting out of the carb. No socket will fit or a rench. Any tips?

Go to any auto parts store & buy a gal., of parts cleaner/basket. $$

When I rebuilt my carb, I took every part & let it soak overnight. I drained all the parts, blew them dry with my compressor & parts came out like new. Oh, be sure to cover up th gal, the stuff does evaporate.

Nice score on your find. They are out there.

Nik

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
