Hotlink to the ad....

I talked with the guy who put it up for the church/school. Said it may need a starter, but otherwise seems OK. I hope someone has changed the oil in the last 20-25 years.

Agreed! The ad says another deck is available too...no price though. It looks like a nice deck and 50" to boot. I wonder if it would fit my 1450? Looks like it.

That looks sweet! From what I've seen most of the church stuff has someone that takes care of it for them. Either a member or dealer that treats the church with discounts or free service. I know a guy that does his church lowers and says he spends more time maintaining theirs then his.

Man, if it were me I would pounce on that 1810 asap. You might even be able to get them to trow in the extra deck for a little more money and then sell it. The 1810-1811 models are good strong tractors. I have the 1811 and where you see the hour meter I put in an oil pressure gauge to let me know right away if there was a pressure problem. I never understood the point of putting an hour meter on the dash like you need to look at it every time you use your tractor and need to see the minutes that tick by. Go get it!:

I am looking at this on Monday. Can someone float me an idea on what the extra deck is worth. I want to be fair with my offer. He says the deck is almost new and hardly used.

Regards,
KPD

If you are talking about the yellow deck my guess is that it is easily worth $200.00 based on what it looks like in the pic. Just my 2 cents.

Yes it is the yellow one. This church has two 1810's in similar condition. The yellow is their spare. I have a 44 and 50 now. The 1810 will come with a 44. I probably don't need four decks. I will throw $100 out there.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
