The bearing is a little wore out. The po replaced the friction disk in it and it.still looks new so I'm just going to clean that up just the bearing looks a little wore and would prefure to change it out anyway. Like I said my goal is.to swap any wear item so that I essentially have a brand new.machine when done.

Ah, yes the bearing. Id just pick it up from CC directly. CCO Clutch
They usually don't have too bad prices surprisingly for parts like bearings. Good luck with the resto!

Thanks ill start looking into it. I also need to order the bushing and seals for the axle tubes. Has anybody figured out a bearing for these instead of thebushing. Been raining all day and its really slowing down the drying process of the paint so I need to figure a way to keep buisy

Even temp layoff's can have a silver lining (well, maybe a copper-plated lining). I have used mine for working on projects that were just too time-consuming during regular work hours. The only problem is reduced pay. Good job on your restore! Looking nice!

Got a few things wire wheeled and some primer laid I'm really wishing I could find the camera I have all the pics of dissassembly on because this is a giant puzzle lol. What I can't get with the wire wheel on the bench or drill I will be sand blasting. Will wait to paint all the small parts till they are all primed

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
