The hydro's may not have them. I don't have one here to compare.

I've never had a hydro with a drain plug. Only the gear drives had one.

Thanks for posting the pics Dwayne. That's the plug i was thinking of, on my gear drive tractor. I figured the plug on the hydro's ( part # IH 379277-C1) would be removable, since the plug on a gear drive that holds 7 pints of hytran is removable. A hydro holds 14 pints, seems like that would be the tranny you'd put a removable plug on. Here's a link to pics of a hydro tranny with plug removed.

I believe that " plug hole " is where the hydro tube threads in, on the pics above
