Here I am sitting on dad's 125.

I don't think he let me drive it on my own with the engine running till I was about 10-12. (I think; not sure of the exact age)

I started driving Dad's 105 at age 8 myself. I mowed the yard 95 percent of the time for the next 10 years with that tractor. Overhauled it when I was 16 for my mowing business, used it in my mowing business till I was 18 along with my 107...all while still tending the acre yard or so every week. I pretty much inherited that Cub from Dad. It's now semi-retired in the collection (and thoughts are pointing towards ANOTHER overhaul...)

Who would believe, we have 2" of fresh snow right now, and it is coming down HARD!!

I had to fill the bird feeders twice, the birds are worse than the shoppers in the bread isle at the supermarket when it snows!!

If it keeps this up, I might get some blade seat time, in April!!

These pics are from a couple hours ago, had some deer under one of the apple trees and a ton of birds at the feeders.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
