1650 update: Spent some quality time with the 1650 this evening. Finished-up pinching the axle clevis and reassembled the front axle. Repositioned the hydro lift lever back into proper position (it was pushed far forward), gave the steering box a shot of grease, removed the drive shaft so I could install a new fan on it.

Hopefully I can get this tractor going before to much longer.

Update: Installed a new fan on the drive shaft, reinstalled the engine rails/cradle mod, isolators and snubbers into the 1650 tonight.

I have a cast iron oil pan I am going to put on the engine and then install it into the tractor.

Installed the cast iron oil pan on the 14 hp engine on my 1650 and installed the engine - yippie!!!!!! It's the first time the engine has been bolted down since I bought the tractor. When I got it, the PO had tried to replace the isolators without pulling the engine. I guess he got frustrated, gave-up and sold the tractor. The reason for the 14 hp engine - is that was what the engine was when I bought the tractor. I've got a correct 16 hp engine for the tractor, but it is in need of a rebuild.

I've got an interesting comparison going right now - installing an engine in the 1650 and an engine in the 126. The engine install on the 1650 was a bit trifling, don't know how harder/easier it will go with the 126 - we'll see.

Congrats on getting the engine in your 1650. Technically, I think that makes it a 1450? Anyway, the 126 should go easier without the iso mounts and engine rails to deal with, but you will have less access to the driveshaft since there is no tunnel cover. Assuming you don't have a lot of clutch work to do, it should be easy. I have a 123 that's next on my list for work. I think the earlier (pre-QL) tractors look neat with the engines all painted up nice.
