The bracket with ears has got to be way better, the "shear strength" of the axle tube bolts has to be astronomical compared to just using the cover bolts. Also, it is the 3 bottom bolts that are longer than the rest of the bolts in the cover, but the only reason they are longer is because of the added thickness of the original drawbar, any time you add anything to the back of the transaxle housing, longer bolts should be used to prevent the bolt holes from being stripped out or broken. Be careful not to use bolts that are too long... You will hate yourself in the morning!

I bought the xtreme motorworks double tab bracket with the ears to install on one of my cubs. I like the idea of using the axle carrier bolts in shear load vs. the rear housing bolts in tension. but to be honest, I think this is a "belt and suspenders" approach.
