Oh yeah, nice package score!

She looks to be in pretty good shape. I'd leave it as is. Thanks for sharing the pics.......

Nice score John. I use my 123 more than my other cubs. They're a workhorse for sure.

Thumbs up

Yea, nice tractor grab! Oh, some day I'll have a hydro drive in my line up!

Say, what would be the serial number?,.....reason I ask is that the first IH Cub Cadet 123 started with serial number 157490.

does anyone know if this spring assist for the snow thrower was made as a kit or if people just copied each others ideas and built them? i've seen very similar ones on other cubs before thats why i wonder.

Looks like it could possibly be homemade.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
