They are likely stronger but will wear the hole in the coupler and driveshaft because they are not a tight fit in the hole. They used spirol pins for a reason...

If I didn't have to be able to remove it I'd use the spirol pins, they fit the bore a bit tighter and my 71 will never see much hard work. It's just a play toy. It may pull a lawn seeder.

Spirol pins it is! Lol, do either of you know if you can use the pins that are just 1 round of steel instead of the spirol looking ones? I can't seem to find spirol ones any place other than CC.

Mid West has them

Spiral Driveshaft Pin 1/4” X 1 1/2 “ Long
Priced Individually
Prt No. SP1 $1.85

I think I remember Matt had a place to get them even cheaper.

Default MWSC couplers

Those are great, we use them in our pulling tractor. We also just use grade 5 bolts instead of 8's. They are a little softer which lets them give without snapping under great load. Also it does help to slide a 1/4 punch in to help line everything up first and then drive it out with the pin or bolt. They do make special punches for these, the have a small dimple on the end to help it stay centered on the pin. Midwest does have a lot of good stuff some is good for stock mowing the lawn stuff too. They have kevlar clutch disc replacements that are quite nice as well.

Just curious, any idea why the creeper has the breather extension? The rebuilt one I bought has the stubby factory one.

McMaster Carr is a good place to get the coiled spring pin.
I get them from there and buy them in a 25 piece bag.
I can't seem to find the part number right now though!

Well I Looked online and since I am using it on a NF, I will need an extension on the handle and breather to get up and out of the frame... I was under the impression that I would need an extension... I figured if it wasnt suppose to stick up as high that there wouldnt be a hole in the frame for it, am I wrong?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
