Keep it.

If you want a more practical tractor I would suggest buying one. Act as if you don't own the one you have......you would have nothing to trade and that's exactly what I would do.
I'm 60 years old and I've had things that I sold and now I don't have or the money.
I've finally learned, now I have a bunch of Cubs. A few hundred dollars just isn't worth it to me. Once it's gone it's gone and so is your tractor but it's obviously your call. You've heard from us and I think the majority is telling you to keep it.

I'm with the others, I'd definitely keep the O.

I went through a similar thing earlier this summer. In the end, I kept my 1250 nightmare and bought a new 2100. I now have two Cub Cadets. I am happy not to own just one. Keep that Original and make a reasonable offer for the other one. You can use that new one and enjoy the Original.

Well you all have surely convinced me to hold onto the O...The other party wasn't too happy about it but what can I tell ya..I never committed to anything..

Now I just need to get that clutch bushing in so I can at least enjoy my O..I miss tooling around on the little guy..

Thank you all for the great advice and opinions..It really helped a lot in making this decision..Cheers ~J~

Yep J I think you did the right thing also. My Dad and I have only had our "O" since late last winter and I wouldn't even think of getting rid of him NO how LOL.

Talking Thanks Eric

This also was a purchase that my father and I went in on as a project to have some fun with..There's a lot of options I would still like to pick up for it so I'm glad I'll have the chance to still have some fun with it.

The fact the other guy wasnt happy should tell you everything you need to know.
He wanted your tractor and not his!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
