I finally got time to upload the pics of my new Squire Applegate tractor. Thanks to Sum Bum for finding it for me. I'm already in the process of tearing it apart and trying to get it running again. I still haven't found the year of it but I'm excited to have one like when I was a kid. Mark
Sorry about some of the picture sizes

I haven't said anything because I wasn't sure without looking.

I got this at my Father in Laws estate auction a few years ago, I knew he had put a new engine on it and didn't use it for anything but chasing the grandkids around the yard years ago, then it sat for probably 20 years.

This one was marketed by Western Auto, I've never done any research to find out who the manufacturer was.

I got it running and I actually mowed a strip of the yard with it one time, since then it has sat in the corner of one of the garages.

Hopefully someday I will find some front wheels and tires that fit the machine. Maybe I'll wash it up and give it to one of my own grandkids when the time is right.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
