The toolbox is perfect where it is. The trailer is so long that is pretty much made no difference in the tongue weight. There is another box under the canoe. Like I said before, plenty of tongue weight. I can see your guys concern I were to put the toolbox on the back of a short trailer, but this trailer is long, and the toolbox is pretty much right on the axle.
