There is a Spirol Pin on the Coupler that attaches to the Input Shaft. If that pin breaks, one will have NO hydro function.....BTDT.

Ill have to go back and see the video, but if look at that image where the visible springs are, you will see that your Trunnion is about worn out, i.e. one of the two plates that contain the springs. It may not be a direct influence on your issue but it will help you acheive a drive out of your 1650

Ok something to check on. Bedell, where is this pin you are referring to is there a good pump diagram somewhere so I can see things better (I'm a newb) it that pin broke, would the shaft in the rear of the hydro still spin as it does in the video?

Did you move the tractor while it was broke down? You can tow these things but you need to go slow and not for long distances. If you moved it and went too fast, you could have severely damaged the pump. It's the only surefire way to destroy one of these things. From what I'm seeing, it looks like the most likely culprit.

It was only pushed a total of about 40 slowly by hand and not all at once. When u say destroyed are you refering to the transaxle or the pump in regards to being towed?

It will be the pump. It will undo something to the degree of hydro lock causing the pump to fail.

Ok. So it seems the pump is shot. What is the noise that is being made when the lever is all the way up or down(see vid)

What model is the pump, are they rebuildable, and is there a manual?
Also what other cubs had the same pump. Thanks so much for the help

Would be rare the pump died from sitting - the relief valves are stuck not letting the pump build up to pressure or the filter has blocked the fluid return. Find both known good valves to try and replace filter Wix 51410
