Nothing to wrong when you part it Earl.I am sure you will need some of them parts someday.
My O I just picked up is becoming a parts machine to keep my other 3 running and fixing a few PO mods on the dash tower and frame.Besides the motor is incorrect for a o and the clutch is toast. When I bought it. And how it looks now. I will prolly switch over the good stuff from the green O to this roller and change out the clutch

I'm at that point, may take the hydro system and drop it in the 107 and sell the rest on ebay, I'm going to leave it as is for the weekend then start tearing it down. Most of the bolts are original and easy to get loose may be able to sell them too lol. Maybe I can $400 out of the whole deal if not more.

A 129 with a hydraulic lift is somewhat hard to find in my area. Put a blade on the front and the first heavy snow people will show a strong interest in that machine! I'm not a fan of parting out a running, viable tractor. Sometimes they are too far gone or not cost effective to get them reliably going, so then it can become a donor or parts tractor......but to part out a good running machine with a special feature that is hard to come by-well, I'm not in favor of that. However, its your machine and do what you have to with it......Just my

I hate to see usable things parted out, but I understand the need.
Im not into the mercenary aspect of part selling however... you see these types in every hobby. John

I understand the need to part out machines. I personally don't part anything. I strip them and shelf all the good parts. I would much rather use the barter system to acquire stuff. When I re powered my 682 and put hydraulics on it was pretty much no money out of pocket.

Well I was going to wait until first of the week to tear it down but the more I think about it the more I think I could sell the whole dang thing on ebay in pieces. I may even sell the engine on there, I gurantee if I part it I am going to piece part it, every nut bolt and screw that I take off will be sold to the highest bidder. I don't have the space to store too many parts on my shelf for future use so it all has to go, otherwise they go to the scrap yard... not to be mean but I just don't have room for a lot of stuff here at my place...Hmm wonder what I could get for the steering wheel insert screw..lol

And the flip side of that coin is a lot of people buy nice parts to put on a piece of crap. All I got.

You may find yourself hauling more parts to the scrapyard than you think. It may vary depending on your location, but it seems that some parts are totally worthless unless someone needs one (i.e. frame, NF grille castings, etc). In my experience, you're unlikely to sell every last nut, bolt, and part.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
