I'm about done re-habing Old Cubs, at least for a while. Time to thin the heard.

Just sold the 147 to a guy from TN. It's replacing a 2009 Husky LGT 2554. Gotta love it that a 40+ year old Cub out lives a 2 year old Big Box store POS.

Default Better then new

Really nice job, that 147 looks better then new. The new owner should have a cub to last another 40yrs.

Guys thanks for all the compliments. I think he will be happy with it. I just feel bad for him with the problems he’s had with his Husky. Just proves that the old Cubs were built to last.

Wow, amazing what a coat of paint does to that old yeller, looks like just out of the showroom. New home, new life, new tractor, hope it does him real good. Mike

So that's what a POS Husky looks like. I always shield my eyes from such things.

Hey now, I love my Husky GT2654 for a myriad of duties...I bought mine second hand 6 years ago and she runs and pulls like a champ...at least a big box champ, I'd pit it against any green machine anyday..However my cub is most definately my favorite and will work compete circles around the big orange machine..
That 147 is one sharp looking machine though, hope when I get the 126 redone it looks half as good..

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
