Guys,
Some shots of the old blue dash, square fender, 125. (notice how it just fits in the garage next to the 147R under cover) The serial number is 305903. I will let you guys find the build date for me, please! Could this be the beginnings of a RED, WHITE, and BLUE cub project? 125R????? Naaaaa! I hope this is just a "get it runnin" tractor ![]() Hood doesn't fit well due to PO putting the gas tank to far to the right side. Looks to be two reinforcement bars added inside the hood to repair the worn hood hinge points. Grill and tins have not arrived yet. choke is seized. Throttle shaft is loose enough to allow Gracie to crawl through. Carb' may be the first thing I look at. Did you notice that the PO did not put the main cover over the fly wheel? He just wanted to get it running! NICE. Wiring is mostly non existent or crumbling. I surprised myself with how it looked after a rinse and some tires to get it up rolling again. It still needs everything touched! Years and years of neglect! Wife still says its still a piece of junk ![]() I have been busy making maple products! Tonight was a gallon and a half of syrup made into maple candy. If any one is interested we have our Maple Weekend and Maple Taste and Tour Sat and Sunday 10:00 to 4:00. Your all welcome to come! I would love to see some cub folks!!!! We have the sugar house open, and all kinds of maple treats. Regards, Chris

Thats a pretty decent cub for its age and the story it has behind it. I hope it works out for ya! I, along with others, have probably brought some worse looking Cubs home then that and made them go again. Good luck!

That's a good looking little tractor. It's amazing how much better a project looks when it's cleaned (except for the 100 I recently bought!) . That's going to make a nice tractor Chris! Man, that would have been a crime to scrap!

I agree that tractor looks worthwhile to get running again. Since it came in the season if it were mine I would name it sweetness.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
